CPAP machine modems run on cellular signal and sometimes need to be reset for data to send correctly.

If you have a Respironics System One: if we contact you asking for you to reset your modem, locate the small black button on the back of your CPAP machine near the antenna and push and hold for 5 seconds, then release.

If you have a Respironics Dreamstation: you can manually make a call by navigating to the ‘My Provider’ menu on the device and selecting ‘Upload.’  The device will then display a sending screen, followed by a message saying the upload was completed. Remember that the modem will not make a call when the machine is on and the device is delivering therapy.

The DOT requires a minimum CPAP compliance rate of at least 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, which equates to 70% of sleeping time. Aeroflow helps monitor your CPAP usage and reports the data to your employer. Drivers who are diagnosed with sleep apnea and are not compliant with treatment significantly increase their risk of fatigue-related accidents and are at risk of losing their certification.

You can either schedule your sleep study with your primary care physician or with Aeroflow Industrial. Pending the results, your course of treatment will be outlined and must be followed in order to receive DOT clearance.

Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep condition typically seen in individuals who snore loudly, gasp for air during sleep and wake up with a sore/dry throat. Side effects of sleep apnea can be dangerous, and adhering to CPAP therapy is an effective way to treat the condition. You can track your habits each day (like wakefulness, nighttime trips to the bathroom, loud snoring) to determine your level of risk for sleep apnea. However, the only way to diagnose sleep apnea is with a sleep study. Aeroflow Industrial offers sleep studies at affordable prices from the comfort of your own home!
