Aeroflow Industrial Clinics provides drivers with a wireless modem that will automatically input their sleep data into our computer system for analysis. Our sleep specialists can monitor CPAP usage time, AHI improvements, and identify any masks leaks within the first 45 days of treatment. This service allows drivers to prove their CPAP compliance in order to obtain their medical clearance for their DOT physical examination. It also gives adequate time for drivers to get used to using their CPAP and speak with our sleep specialists about any questions.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requires CMV drivers diagnosed with an AHI of 20 or greater to use their CPAP machine 4 hours a night, 5 days a week, or approximately 70% of sleeping time. Aeroflow Industrial Clinics will help monitor a driver’s sleep data and report this data to the driver’s DOT physician for medical clearance.
After 45 days, drivers will have the option to switch to an SD memory card. When using the card, drivers will need to mail in their data on a scheduled basis for our sleep specialists to analyze and provide recommendations if necessary.
